Bernice Duletski was appointed Assistant County Manager in January 2005, coming to Johnson County Government from Arvada , Colorado , where she was Deputy City Manager for four and a half years.

As a key member of the county's management team, Ms. Duletski assists in the management of 38 departments, offices, and agencies with more than 3,700 employees and an annual budget of more than $600 million. She oversees environmental, transit, automated information mapping systems, infrastructure, public works, wastewater, and planning, development and codes services.

Ms. Duletski began her career in public service in 1979. Prior to working in Arvada , Colorado , she was the Assistant City Manager for the city of Hutchinson , Kansas , for six years.

A native of North Dakota , Ms. Duletski received a Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education from Dickinson State College in Dickinson , North Dakota and Master's Degrees in Urban and Regional Planning from Texas A & M University and in Political Science from Midwestern State University , Wichita Falls , Texas .

She has lived in Johnson County since assuming her duties in 2005.
